Discover Toccoa
Toccoa, the county seat, is the heart of Stephens County.
The city’s historic downtown offers locally owned shops, restaurants, galleries and community events, with the historic courthouse and train depot adding to its character. Explore Georgia describes Toccoa as an award-winning downtown community in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Toccoa Falls
Just outside downtown Toccoa, Toccoa Falls is one of the county’s most impressive natural attractions.
At 186 feet high, the waterfall is taller than Niagara Falls and is one of the tallest free-falling waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. The falls are located on the wooded campus of Toccoa Falls University and are reached by a short walk from the entrance.
The waterfall has also played a role in the area’s film history. Toccoa Falls and other locations around Toccoa were featured in the film Heritage Falls.
