[May 19, 2026] – Mountains and Main Media announced today its original storytelling series and nonprofit features have been recognized in the record-breaking 47th Annual Telly Awards. Mountains and Main received a Silver Telly Award for stories covering North Georgia nonprofits, a Silver Telly Award in the Public Interest & Awareness category for a feature story highlighting local foster parent Mary McSherry, and a Bronze Telly Award in the Culture & Lifestyle category for its Heart of the Mountains series featuring inspiring stories of North Georgia people.
The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies.
Founded by award-winning journalist and storyteller Chriss Knight, Mountains and Main Media shines a spotlight on the people, businesses, nonprofits, and communities that make North Georgia special. Through heartfelt storytelling and community-focused video journalism, the platform shares uplifting stories that connect and inspire audiences across the region.
With over 13,000 entries from across the globe and top video and television content producers, winners were chosen by The Telly Awards Judging Council, which features more than 250 experts across the world of video. This year welcomed judges including Tamara Kruger, Head of Content and Sponsorships, Google; Janet Graham Borba, Executive VP of Production, HBO; Phil Cook, Chief Marketing Officer, WNBA; and Andrea Wertheim, Senior Manager Post Production, Netflix.
